Pontypridd Green Week

We are halfway through Pontypridd Green Week, which is part of a UK wide Great Big Green Week celebrating action on Climate Change.

This is a grassroots event, organised by local community groups and activists of all ages.  They are all united by a determination to make a difference and inspire others to respond to the climate and nature emergency. Unfortunately, for the people Pontypridd and its nearby communities, this emergency is very real and at the forefront of everyone’s minds following the devastating flooding of February 2020.

There has been lots of different activities taking place across Pontypridd. This past weekend I took part in the fancy dress litter pick which saw a special appearance from a T-Rex who was helping residents clear up the town. I also had a great discussions with the local youth forum, who shared their brilliant ideas on how we can all make a difference and tackle the climate and nature emergency together.

There is still lots more planned for the rest of the week and you can find out more about how to get involved here.

If you would like share your ideas with me on green issues you can fill out my survey here.

Or why not stop by my workshop this Saturday 25th of September at Clwb y Bont, Pontypridd between 1-4pm.
